“There’s No Diet Coke Version of Zionism” | Benjamin Moser & Barry Malone

In this episode of Palestine Deep Dive, Irish journalist and commentator Barry Malone and American writer Benjamin Moser, author of Anti-Zionism: A Jewish History, join host Ahmed Alnaouq for a wide-ranging discussion on Zionism, anti-Zionism, media complicity and the language shaping public debate around Israel and Palestine.

Drawing on the history of Jewish opposition to Zionism, the conversation explores Britain’s role in the Zionist movement, the politics of antisemitism and the silencing of dissent. They also examine the Green Party’s recent adoption of its “Zionism is Racism” motion and the debate it has sparked.

With Israeli elections bringing renewed attention to Benjamin Netanyahu, the discussion also addresses whether a change of prime minister would address the deeper questions of Palestinian self-determination and equal rights.
